PMJ Capital was proud to support the Milly-Rose Gala Ball as the event’s main sponsor on the 11th July. The event helped to raise vital funds for the Milly-Rose Stirrup Foundation and its work supporting families following the loss of a child.
Held at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium, the special evening brought together family, friends, businesses and supporters of the Foundation to celebrate Milly-Rose’s life..
The Foundation was established by Milly-Rose’s parents, Philippa and Shaun Stirrup, following the sudden and devastating loss of their daughter in 2023. Since then, they have worked to provide practical and personalised support to families experiencing the loss of a child.
The Foundation supports hospitals, hospices and partner charities with resources designed to provide comfort to families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
A cause close to PMJ
For PMJ Capital, supporting the Gala Ball had a particularly personal significance, with PMJ’s Chris Fortune having a connection with the family.
That personal connection made the opportunity for PMJ to support the Foundation especially meaningful, allowing the business to play a part in an evening dedicated to celebrating Milly-Rose’s life and raising funds to help other families facing similar circumstances.
Speaking about the event, Chris Fortune said:
“Having a personal connection with the family, this is a cause that is very close to my heart. It was really fantastic that PMJ was able to support the Gala Ball as the main event sponsor and help raise funds for the incredible work the Foundation is doing.
“Philippa and Shaun have turned something incredibly difficult into a way of helping other families through the most unimaginable circumstances. The support the Foundation provides is so important, and it was a real privilege for us to be involved.”
A special evening for Milly-Rose
The Ball marked what would have been Milly-Rose’s 10th birthday and provided an opportunity to celebrate her life, reflect on the work achieved by the Foundation and recognise the generosity of those who continue to support its mission.
Guests enjoyed an evening at the Etihad Stadium, including a three-course meal, live entertainment, auctions and hospitality, with funds raised going towards the Foundation’s ongoing work.
The Foundation continues to provide practical support to bereaved families, as well as working with hospitals and other organisations to improve the experience of families following the loss of a child.
For PMJ, supporting the Foundation is about more than sponsoring an event. It is about backing a cause that is making a genuine difference to families at a time when they need support most.
